"I had the pleasure of working in Chesley for four weeks in the fall of 2009. As a new graduate from the Queen's family medicine program, I wanted to locum in a community where I could gain experience with welcoming staff around me. The Chesley hospital and medical clinic definitely provided that atmosphere!

My wife and I live in Toronto but I wanted to work in a varied practice -and in Chesley I was able to do clinics, emergency and inpatient work.

Having the hospital and clinic next to each other made it convenient to see patients and access services. The EMR was very user friendly and the office staff made sure things ran smoothly, even at the busiest times!

In my spare time I went kayaking, fishing, hiking and explored the surrounding towns.

The physicians here have many interests and hobbies, and the good camaraderie among them made me feel at home. I am definitely planning to return for locums in the near future!"
